From September 27-30 of 2016, the 85^th Meeting of The Coordinating Committee on Services (CCS85) of ASEAN was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in which the Roundtable of Chartered Professional Engineers Coordinating Committee (CPECC) on September 27 created changes for all members to exchange the particular problems in construction techniques of each country. Deputy Director of VEC Consultant – Mr.Vu Thanh Hai, as one of Vietnam representatives, presented the topic “Consultant and construction for building of Vietnam expressway network”.

The presentation including Master plan of Vietnam Expressway network in associate with Vietnam – Asean Transportation connectivity; Design features of expressway system; Technology for design and construction (pavement, slope protection works, soft soil treatment, structures of bridges and tunnels; ITS and ETC, etc.) was highly appreciated by the audiences from other countries.

Originated as a subsidiary of Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) – A core state-owned corporation with assignments of Vietnam expressway network investment and management, VEC Consultant has been taking part in huge expressway projects such as Cau Gie – Ninh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay, Ben Luc – Long Thanh, Da Nang – Quang Ngai, Ha Noi – Lang Son. Working with national consultant firms and construction companies from Japan, Korea, Spain, etc. has brought VEC Consultant the general view and valuable experience of design and construction process of Vietnam expressways.
