On 6 October 2014, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) held 10th anniversary ceremony (2004 – 2014) at Ha Noi International Convention Center

10 years ago, the real requirement was  quickly implement a new model to receive and mobilize capital for  investment, construction of national highway system, with the approval of Prime Minister, Minister of Transport signed a decision to establish Vietnam Expressway Company – the predecessor of Vietnam Expressway Corporation at present. After 10 years of effort and development, VEC has become a great investor, a unit providing professional expressway service.

In the speech, Minister Dinh La Thang praised and highly appreciated effort of VEC in 10 years of construction and development. Although faced with many difficulties and challenges, VEC has successfully completed the assigned tasks, played important role in investment development highway system in Vietnam; contributed to infrastructure modernization, promoted economic – social development, ensured security – defense of the country. On this occasion, Minister Dinh La Thang presented merit of MOT for groups and individuals with outstanding achievements contributing to the development of the VEC past time.

Vietnam Expressway Consultant., JSC (VEC Consultant) is the oldest member of VEC, and professional operation in construction consultancy in general and expressway projects in particular. Overcoming difficult period of  basic construction sector and adapting to the strong reform of the transport sector, VEC Consultant has continued growth and stability: From 2008 to 2013, the company revenue increased from 7 billion to 41 billion. In 2013 and 2014, VEC Consultant has been ranked on TOP 20 consultant firms by Ministry of transport. On this occasion, VEC Consultant has been honored to award certificates of merit “Collective had many achievements contributing to the construction and development unit”.

During one month before the celebration, the atmosphere at the VEC and the PMU and its subsidiary units were heated with a lot of sport events, culture, arts, slogan writing contest … attracts all employees in the "roof" lively participation VEC. This is a meeting of the warmest solidarity units from north to south, and show of force by staff, workers and employees after ten years of trying and mature.
